Do you think it is harmful to take calcium supplements to induce weight loss?


There is no doubt that calcium is of benefit for bone growth and many other physiological functions. But so far just relying on one health supplement to reduce weight is not the answer. For people who want to lose weight, one should start to eat less, and walk more. What all consumers should be weary is that many studies on health supplements/drugs are sponsored by the manufacturers- thus the results are always biased towards a positive effect. 

My best advice- if you eat a healthy diet, there is a zero need for supplements. For those who fanatically believe in supplements and benefits, the problem is more mental than anything else.
